There is so much to celebrate at Youth on Stage, Inc!

This month, May 23 at The Kid’s Zone in Howard Park from 4:30-5:00, we jump into the South Bend birthday party with A Kid’s Life: a medley of several terrific Youth on Stage original songs that will put the audience inside the mind of a kid. From the four year old’s “Just Say No to Nosey Snaks!” to the preteen sisters “She Said Hello!” to the grumpy mom’s “A Castle of Piggies”, we celebrate the life and thoughts and voice of kids! Have you ever wondered what your kid is REALLY thinking? Now’s the time to find out!

The annual June Pioneer Crafts and Acting Camp has filled to the brim with pioneer campers ages 6+ who will spend a week at The Res celebrating the frontier life as interpreted by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This year, Austin based Chef Beth Pav will be with us cooking up a pioneer storm! Our Creating Drama in the Woods, the 4-5 year olds version of Pioneer Crafts, has begun filling up with our preschool creative dramatists extraordinaire!

In July, we’ll be at St. Joseph Grade School in downtown South Bend with our newest original musical South Bend’s The Riverview Anthologies. After our two week Musical Theatre Workshop Intensive, we are planning a local tour of our show, bringing the stories and songs of the youngest (oldest!) South Bend residents from 1865. Curious about what this show is about? Stay tuned for details on how this piece came about.

Our mission at Youth on Stage is simple: to provide one of a kind musical theatre training, workshops and performances for kids 4+.

We’re heading in your direction and will look forward to meeting you soon.
